"I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart"

The heart wants what the heart wants.
It cannot be controlled, contained or directed.
It's free to roam and belong to others.
We share and love and attach ourselves to the good, bad and the divine.

My heart is a mystery.
constantly evolving, changing and growing
but at the same time dying, confused and alone.

i have a quote up on my wall by Woody Allen. it reads,

"We all know the same truth. Our lives consist of how we choose to distort it"

Our hearts have potential to lead us into greater and wonderous places,

but most are not content with that.
We change and distort the simple truth to meet our needs.
and all our needs vary so epically.
This is the complication involved in who we attach our hearts to.

Ben Gibbard says if given the chance one can possess someone else's heart.
but i'm not so sure.

Our hearts do what they want.
and usually it leads us in directions we know we don't want to head in
but at the end of the day is there really a whole lot we can do to change that?

My truth and constant is that as the sun rises and sets each day

my heart remains an empty room.
